Sometimes oil you need is a good idea, some ambition and a few dodgy puns. After making his mark in Shrewsbury’s Market Hall, chef Aaron Brown decided to fly the nest with a new found friend, designer Vivek Bhatia. Together they hatched a plan to bring Shrewsbury its first city-style, urban restaurant. A place that serves a firm favourite, pizza. Not just any pizza, sourdough pizza, made fresh everyday, alongside a few choice drinks. Oil the while using local and like-minded suppliers, with an easy going vibe and a cracking soundtrack. 

Dough & Oil was born – Shrewsbury’s nod to the cities they love – a tasty mash-up of London, Lisbon, NYC with a slice of Barcelona and a splash of Brummy swagger. 

When oils said and done, these boys love the Shrub and it's dedicated to their families, friends and all the customers that visit to make it happen.
