GENERAL

Can I book the restaurant upstairs? 

As a restaurant we operate a walk-in only system where it is first come first served. During busy periods we will start a wait list where a member of staff will take your name and number and give you call when the table is ready. 

Where can I go while I am waiting for a table? 

While you are waiting, we recommend grabbing a drink at our sister bar Oil and relaxing while we get everything ready for you. There are also lots of other pubs and bars just a stone’s throw away. Some of our personal favourites being Tap and Can, Glou Glou and House of the Rising Sun.  

Typically, how long will I be waiting for a table? 

The wait time on a table can vary due to the party size and how many people are on the wait list and whether we have any other events happening. The wait time will most commonly range from 30-45 minutes. However, the host will be able to advise you more accurately on the night. While we will strive to get you in as quickly as possible, when we give you an estimate of the wait this is subject to change as it all depends on when people leave. 

Also, important to note expect wait times to be longer during holidays and days of celebration. 

Can I join the wait list if I call up? 

No. In the interest of making the system as fair as possible, we will only add you to the wait list in person and will not allow you to join the wait list over the phone.  

How long is the wait for food? 

Typically, the wait for a pizza is 20-30 minutes depending on how busy we are. This is because all our pizzas are hand stretched and freshly made to order. 

Why do you sell out of dough? 

There are times where we sell out before we close. This is usually because we have been exceptionally busy and while the kitchen try to prepare for the busiest days there is a limit to how much dough they can prepare and store at the restaurant.

BOOKING THE BASEMENT

Can I book the basement?

We do hire the basement for private functions such as work Christmas parties and Birthdays. These are typically for larger groups between 25-35 people and does come with some requirements. If you would like any more information, please call the restaurant and one of team will be more than happy to assist you. 

What do I get when I book the basement?

You get access to a private space which only your party will have access to. 

How much does it cost to hire the basement?

There are no bookings fees to hire the basement, just a minimum spend you are required to hit. Sun-Thurs its £350 Fri-Sat its £750. 

Can we book half the basement?

We do not offer half basement bookings.  

Why can’t we book the restaurant upstairs? 

To allow the restaurant to continue operating to the public and honour our walk-in system, the upstairs remains booking free.

What if we only want to book the basement for 2 hours and don’t think we will reach the minimum spend? 

Then we would recommend chancing it as a walk in or finding elsewhere to eat.

If I book out the basement for private hire how long can we use the space for? 

When booking the basement, you will be able to book it from either 12-5 or 5-close. 

What is the recommended number of people for the basement booking? 

25-35 people (but maximum capacity is 40). 

Takeaways 

Do you do takeaways? 

Yes! When ordering a takeaway directly with us it is collection only. However, this service is in addition to the restaurant and can be stopped at the restaurant’s discretion when the restaurant is busy.

Do you deliver? 

We do not offer a delivery service in-house. But you can find us on Deliveroo. 

How do I order a takeaway?

To order a takeaway for collection you can either give us a call and place the order over the phone or pop in and do it at the restaurant. 

BAR Oil 

Can I eat at Oil? 

Yes. If you didn’t want to wait for a table at the restaurant or were looking for a more informal dough fix, we can bring the pizza to you. 

How do we order food at Oil? 

Grab yourself a table and let one of the bar staff know that you would like to order food they will grab you a menu and take your order and we will do the rest.
